Luxe Box!

Hello all you make up lovers out there! I hope you're all having a wonderful morning. I recently received my Luxe Box by Loose Button in the mail a few weeks ago. For all of you who don't know what Luxe Box is, it's basically similar to Birchbox. However, Birchbox does not ship to Canada and Luxe Box is the perfect alternative. Luxe Box is currently only available in Canada at the moment but they say they are working on making it available to other countries (yay!)

How it works is you choose your method of subscription. You can pick from a monthly membership, quarterly, or yearly. The monthly membership is $12 plus free shipping. You will receive 3-5 deluxe beauty samples in your Luxe Box a month according to your choice of subscription. For more information visit www.loosebutton.com

This is what the box looks like. The ribbon will be much nicer compared to what you see here. I forgot to take a pic before I opened it.
Inside is all wrapped with pretty tissue paper and sealed with a sticker.

Tada! Here are the products.
What I received

- Laura Mercier eye shadow. I received a full size eye shadow in the shade Coffee Ground.
- Joico K Pak Color Therapy
- Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
-Chocolate

I love the Laura Mercier shadow so much that I've gone ahead and taken additional pictures to show you guys. Let me just say that this is one of the best eye shadows that I have ever tried! It applies so smooth, and is long wearing.

You can't tell from the picture but there is a small touch of glitter in the shadow.

Final thoughts

In my opinion the June Luxe Box was worth it alone because of the full size Laura Mercier eye shadow.  Luxe Box provides a card with the full size priced items. It says that the Laura Mercier eye shadow is worth $22. But when I visited sephora.com and checked the Canadian pricing, it says it is $27!! The fact that I just received a $27 eye shadow for a little over $10 is unbelievable.
The concept of Luxe Box is great. The fact that they take the time to individually assemble every box with tissue paper and a soft bed of cotton is such a personal touch.
And besides, Who doesn't love getting surprises in the mail?
So far Luxe Box is turning out to be very fun, affordable, worth while. I have already gone ahead and signed up for the quarterly option. I definitely recommend checking this company out.

Have you recieved a June Luxe Box? what were your thoughts?  Thanks for reading! :)

  3. Wooo. Another Canadian, haha. I actually have not yet tried my Dermologica. It smells yummy though, lol. I'm going to try it today.
Oh, no! I'm sorry to hear yours was opened. :( It must have gotten loose through shipment. Nothing like that happened to me. I heard a lot of people's chocolates were melted.

  4. My chocolate was covered in Dermalogica powder! I was unimpressed, as I heart chocolate. Sad times! :(

I dislike dark chocolate, so if I could give you mine instead, I would. :)
